About Us and Our Business
| Hello from Pam and Craig Coulthard! We would like to introduce ourselves and our business. We both moved to the western mountains of North Carolina from larger cities (Atlanta and Chicago). We met and married here and both feel blessed to be able to call this home. The business was formed out of Craig's love of cooking and our wish to work creatively together. Our goals for our business and our lives center around serving people delicious and nutritious food for their bodies and kind words and actions for their hearts. We truly hope to feed the whole person... body, mind and spirit. Day by Day Mobile Café, Inc. was incorporated in June 2004. Our business began with a 22 foot red box truck and a 3200 sq ft. empty warehouse. We created a home base here in Sylva, North Carolina where we operate a café open to the public seasonally and for special events. The home base includes 2 full size, commercial licensed kitchens, storage and work shop. From here we do local catering and support our mobile catering operation. The mobile operation includes a fully self-contained mobile commercial kitchen, a mobile wash trailer, food and equipment storage, and a mobile home/office. Craig and I love traveling and meeting others on the journey. We have fed cast and crew of a movie set on top of a mountain for a month and guests of indoor and outdoor wedding receptions and retirement receptions. We have served a holiday meal to construction workers in the middle of clearing a site for a major retailer, and a weekend of meals for executives of a major company on a working retreat. We have served a 90th Birthday Party and a meeting of the red hat ladies. We have met many wonderful people and served meals in amazingly diverse locations. We will continue serving one meal at a time...day by day...whenever and wherever. We hope to meet you on the journey soon! Pam and Craig Coulthard |
